Longtube Headers Question


Is it true that longtube headers will bottom out and scrape the ground on fox bodies? I have heard stories of this happening but have also heard that this is completely false. And the car is an '86 GT at factory ride height.

Factory ride height, will not bottom out.I run them on my car & had them on my 90 Hatch...never had a problem.

false,maybe headers wernt desinged for that car!

also if you do get them make sure you get right ones for your car,auto or standard!!!!!!!both shaped different.clutch cable problems if auto long tube headers in standard!

Yeah if I get them I'm ordering from Jegs the BBK 1-5/8" chrome longtubes, it says its for manual trans only.

I've got MAC 1-3/4" longtubes on my Cobra and haven't bottomed out yet.
