alright, some kid has a 1993 cobra, basically stock (i think its daddys car haha)
all hes got is bolt ons.. pulleys, cai, full exhaust, 'chip', and little things like that
he claims "420rwhp and only $1500 into it"

then goes as far as talking shit saying i dont know anything about mustangs and his dad has a dyno (lol) and stock the car made 320rwhp... ford rated the car at 235hp/280tq ish (i think) and i know they really made more than that... but deffinetly not THAT much more ...

let me know what you guys think about that.. and would it even be possible? $1500 into a 93cobra to make 420rwhp ? the best way i could see spending the money was if he got nitrous and a set of aluminum heads or something? but i know he has neither.

anyways. if im wrong about anything? let me know.

unless he has a 200-250 shot of N2O which i higly doubt then my car has 4,287.1 RWHP with full bolt ons and a stock heads... i would love to meet this kid and im bein serious

I call BS. My buddy has a 93 Cobra. stock they only put out around 220 h.p. to the wheels. And that was a good one. My buddy added a vortec and a E-cam and headers to his and he had 400 hp and 380 tq to the wheels with a stock longblock. He just went and installed AFR 185's and had Dez tune it and now it makes 455 hp at the wheels. This is with a safe tune and 10 psi of boost. He can get more out of the tune but he stopped there because of the stock bottom end and the hyperutectic factory pistons. He knows he is on borrowed time with it.

Yours did pretty good. Most of the stock 5.0L H.O. motors only put out 190-200 h.p. to the wheels.

yea, its a good lookin cobra and all but i dont think the kid knows too much about mustangs. or any cars really, considering i heard he said he was going to twin turbo his 4cyl integra confused.giflaughing.gif

but anyways he wants to race me and im wondering what you guys think; im plannin on getting a notch and lightening it up a little (gutted, fiberglass hood & trunk, tubular k member & a arms, aluminum drive shaft, ac delete, & no smog, etc) with only gears(probably 3.73s), pulleys, exhuast, cai, bigger maf sensor & tb, & 24lb injectors. just wondering if yous think that would be enough. &i'd probably only race from a roll becuase im going to set up the car for road race so right now im not so worried about traction issues.

oh & my friend wants to race the kid for money so that should be interesting, he's got a 94 gt with h/c/i, gears, etc. ill have to record & post the "420rwhp cobra" loosing to a car w/ 100 less rwhp and 200+ extra pounds. haha

Looking at those pics,those may be aluminum heads but most H/C/I 302's will only put down
330rwp max. in a perfect package. Avg would be 295-315rwp

That kid is an idiot. He needs to stop reading those ad books/mustang mags and get into reality. 93 cobras aren't fast w/o major work to them. Even 420 flywheel hp isn't possible w/ bolt ons. You need a power adder to make those #'s on a 302. Maybe he is trying to sucker you into a race.

the kids like 17 or 18 it was his dads car. he got it stock, bought a few things, most likely didnt even put them in himself. whatever tho, should be a fun race. ill make sure to record his shit talking before the race and his excuse after the race lol

the picture you posted is not a 93 cobra you know that right?? thats a 94-95 GT or Cobra ...


also my buddy has a whole 93 cobra driveline in his car with everything that kid has cept for a chip and he isnt making anywhere close to 400hp ..if it was i dont think he would be selling it so cheap .haha

ya kids full of it, ive seen 348rwhp on a 302,TF High ports,fcam bennet box intake and a sketchy tune, running really lean, basicly not safe, no way hes got 400+ hp in that cobra

ight... UPDATE... this kid wants to race for $500 (yea he's pretty confident and talking more shit than ever) he's either racing my friend with that 5.0 with h/c/i etc (engine pics a few posts up ^^^) OR my dad with his 04 Cobra ... laughing.gif yea thats right my dad street races hahaha cant wait.. the kid said the car will be on the road in April and thats when he will race.. this kids gona get owned

oh, and heres the kids myspace... hes got a few pics of the 420+hp factory freak? idk.. haha
