when my car was on the road last winter the salt ate up the wheels (never get O.E. replicas) on my DD bullitts, just the outer silver part not the spokes, does the wheel need to get refinished or is there a way i can fix ot with some sort of elbow grease? if not these will become burnout wheels... take a look below
send them out 2 get refinished!!!! maybe try really fine sand paper and sand it i heard it works on some
yeah it sucks, i gotta see if its worth gettin them refinished i dont want it costing more than the wheel itself!!! never heard of the sandpaper method but im willing to try if anyone can tell me how to
try Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. you can get it at the autoparts store. i restored the polished wheel lips on my 1988 Saleen wheels (no clearcoat on the wheel lips like yours) by sanding w/ 2000 wet or dry sandpaper, then wetsanding & then using the aluminum polish on them. came out mint. give it a shot.

very welcome. glad it worked out for you! you will have to do it frequently to keep them looking nice. my car lives in an enclosed carport & only gets driven on nice days so a few times a year i will have to repolish mine but it takes minutes. if you drive your all the time all season it then you will be doing it much more.
