When i first bought the car I honestly didn't plan on doing much to it at all. But then my friend found some guy basically GIVING away a 86 motor/tranny with 17000 original miles on it (Selling for about $1000) so since my car has roughly 180,000 on the body and rebuilt motor. Now that I got into an accident I plan on doing a lot to the exterior, such as: black paint, cobra front bumper grill insert, gt spoiler/bumper cover, lx tail lights. So what my original goal was to take the 86 motor from the GT and turn my car into a cobra replica but now I think I'm just going to drive w/ the unmolested motor for awhile then do a lot of work to it and max out the horse power. When I accually get around to fixing the damaged body of my car (becuase of the accident) I will post pictures here in this new topic.
So thanks to "crazyal" I bought lx tailights, passenger door, passenger side fender, hood, and vent cowle. So far I've put on the taillights and the cowle but I'll be putting on the rest soon. Pics to come!
you do know the 86 motor and tranny sucked compared to your 93 motor ?? 86 was non roller cam i think and the heads sucked on them and not a world class t-5 ....i would keep a 180k motor in your car and save some money to buy something else
ur right, but 86 's were roller motors, just had shitty e6te heads, flattop pistons wich means pretty much no aftermarket heads will fit it, not even gt40ps, and 86 did have a non world class t5 in it...id keep ur 180k motor, sell the 86 and maybe rebuild ur 93 motor

if u didnt buy a set of headlights yest buy the ones i was telling you about before there more expensive but there quality and look good here they are on my car......
5oh , please dont recommend anyone to buy those headlights they look like crap and look at the fitment there are gaps all around on them and they dont line up ....if people want to buy headlights just but the 6 piece kit from 5.0resto or one of those places ...
spdoherty , did you jam those body panels before installing them so when you paint the car its all one color ???
this is a serious question why do some of you guys feel that driving around your car with 5 different colors is cool ???
Yea the car is not registered/insured and no, I have NO idea what jamming means hah I'm a 20 year old w/ 0 technical experience. I leaving the body work to a body man even though I wish I could do it myself.
Yeah I mean, I know what jamming means (kinda) but I didn't know if he meant anything elaborate and + I don't have a sprayer or anything and I planned on just going there with the fender off.
