To kill alternator with switch, you must run dedicated wire from positive post of battery to larger of 2 connectors at alt. Cut orange wire in connector & splice in said wire to "car" side of orange wire. Larger guage wire the better, I think I ended up using 10g wire snaked up pass side of car mimicking fuel line route & into engine bay through a factory grommet. Zip tied every 12".
