The only thing better in the MSD units are the distributor shaft has bearings instead of bushings. The MSD electronics inside the distributor are not that good. Alot of people buy the MSD units and switch over to their oem electronics Pick-up and module or they install Geniune Motorcraft electronics. In my opinion the Factory distributor is fine and will work in 99% of the fuel injection applications out there. An aftermarket distributor will not net any gains in the power dept on fuel injected vehicles. I'd spend the money on something else. A carbed set-up is a totaly different breed.
