i drive mine in the winter.. hate doing it but o well no money for a beater. and drove last one in the winter... its really not to bad if theres not more then a couple inches... if theres more then a couple.. your fucked.. stay home like paul
haha it would have killed me driving mine today. i probably would have gotten stuck and every other thing, not to mention the salt getting tossed into the underside.
i dont drive mine in the winter, i keep it stored in the garage...i buy parts in the winter...i sleep next to my brand new rear end in my room every night and dream about summer coming lmao...And for my daily/winter car its a 1993 Subaru Legacy...That's my snow drifting/e-brake slides car had a nice 4+ hour ride in the blizzard earlier today going from southborough to worcester so i made some fun out of it
i'd drive a Mustang or anything else for that matter in snow. even a bugatti and thats no lie. i use to take my old 94 Z28 out in the snow storms JUST to cruise around.
If you wash the underside a lot to keep salt off you should be ok. Fox bodies do not hold up to the elements well like the 94+ do. If you keep the car clean and wash it a lot to remove salt it probably would hold up fine.
I don't drive my cobra in snow, rain or winters and I did the same thing w/ my old notch.
eh i just wouldnt want to slide around with such a light rear wheel drive car. if i ever crashed driving it in snow, id regret it because i would have known i should have gotten a winter beater. so i just felt better putting it in storage.
this is got to be the worst winter for cars in a long time, they have salted the roads just about every day since thanksgivn. It's not even winter yet! I feel there is no reason to drive a vehicle, whatever it may be, that you actually enjoy owning and proud of in this acid bath of conditions. I can get a escort or some other american unwanted iron at the auction for $400.00. Unless you like replacing rotted brake lines and or let New england DPW Trucks sand blast your car. Good luck and be safe out there guys and gals its going to be a long season.
long hard winter no shit.... cant believe this winter so far... and its not even winter yet!!! WTF got stuck 4 times yesterday after leaving school early (yes i had school) but i said fuck this and left so i wasnt ploweed in.. which i was. got to buddys house then the plow came hada move and go stuck in a snow bank going up the street... car kept walking sideways till ass was in a bank of snow.. and pretty much just did nothing but slide and get stuck.. Car is in 1 piece though!!! just be safe out there all of you and i hope the best.. lets keep these stangs ON the road, dont drive unless you HAVE TO!

I agree with you on this one. It's probably the most snow since 2005. I remember it snowed at least a couple times every week that winter. My daily driver Cherokee is covered in salt right now and it's in great shape for a 97. I usually wash it more, but everyday the roads have been a mess and it's not worth it to freeze and cover it in salt the minute after it's washed.
