You don't give a shit about horsepower , but yet you did'nt hesitate to rip out that 4 cyl . Plus most people like a car that can back up it's looks ... Nothing worse than a car that looks fast and is'nt . You must love getting blown off by latemodel suv's that have 100 more horse power than your car does ....

Again, different strokes for different folks... But I must say that even with a stock 86 5.0 + my setup, I'd keep it "interesting" through the hills of my home town...
But I'd being lying if I said I'm not a sucker for horsepower, which is why a crate motor is going in next year....
I just chose to start with the suspension. To me, that's the most logical path of modifications to any Mustang that you intend to handle well... (and by "well" I mean NOT like one of those SUVs you referenced earlier)
looks like bostonstangs car of the year might be a notch with 160,000 mile stock 225 horsepower engine.don't get me wrong, i love all mustangs stk & modified (except mustang 2's of course) i actually had a 87 gt with 200k . it had boyd rims and new red paint. it was a sharp car that ran great. but i think car of the year should be something more.....
dont get me wrong the long block is stock but its got every bolt on imaginable the car will easily go 13 flat with a taller tire ... i went 13.8 pretty much coasting from the 1000ft mark.but i realy dont care because it will be deep 11s come spring and still look killer.
and if you want my honest opinion any of the others cars but mine and minerals would make better candidates for car of the year because they have solid looks and performane and make it a much better choice considering its a better overall package. mine easily gets out of its own way but is not "fast" enough for most hard core mustang people,minerals car sure is quick enough but in my opinion "car of the year" should at least be all one color...that being said i like reefs car but the green is just not my taste and i love 4 eyed cars but it could use a shot in the ass performance wise so the honest best choice is 89rustang's car.

To herald its final year, Mustangs sported brand new paint colors - Electric Red, Bright Blue Clearcoat Metallic, Royal Blue Clearcoat Metallic, Reef Blue Clearcoat Metallic, Silver Clearcoat Metallic (all of these available with the Titanium lower accent treatment), Vibrant Red and Vibrant White. The only carryover colors from 1992 were Black Clearcoat and Bright Red.

Speak for yourself buddy !! Don't throw me in the mix of what the fuck you think the car of the year should be !!! ...... I have enough money into mine that I could of bought all of the cars up for ride of the month ! You know nothing of what my car is... or the time and aggrivation I went through to bring to where it is today . I 'm not playing with 20 + year old technology that has been done and been there to death !!! .... I'd like to see most of the people that think like you even try to deal with all the electronics and engineering that went into the 99 up cars .... I've built and owned over 12 foxes of every variety from 86 to 94 .... A 14 year old kid could build and modify one ... there is no mystery to one of these cars on how to make it fast ! I challenge any of these cars to make over 500 horse with the stock heads and block with the A/C still blowing cold , all options still in the car and functioning and get an inspection sticker (leagally).. My car is full weight with the spare in the trunk ....... Not a stripped out race car... and still managed 125 mph in the quarter on the stock original springs and shocks . Which is why it only went 11.80's , but the MPH tells ya it's good for 10's ... That's a pretty good acomplishment for a 281 c.i. engine in a 3600 lb car . Also some are hung up on the handeling ... which is fine ... But a stock 94 up car will handle just as good as a modified fox car will ..
Besides all this .... if the only thing that anyone can find to pick on my car for is the " Unpainted hood " ... Then I find it extremely fucking sad !! .... I won't even get into why some have to lie in there sig about what the car has under the hood or how it performs ...
The only car on here that deserves " ride of the year " is Rob's Reef Blue Notch .. His car is the total package ... Suspension , drivetrain , and looks to boot !! .. His car is still has the original shining paint after all these years and no rust anywhere . Plus he comes to 98% of the meets we have had and drives that beast everywhere ... All year long . Not that i'm ungratefull for the votes on my car , but his car should have done alot better !!

You clearly know what you're talking about in regards to the increased techonoligal advances made on the Mustang over the past 15 years, and it's easy to see that you've been around the block a few times...
But with that being said, then you of all people should know that there are only so many options when modifying a fox body mustang's drivetrain, and they have ALL been beaten to death with the exception of using turbos... If you wanted to get very "original", you could dump a mod motor into a fox, but the gains wouldn't be that significant...
I'm sure everyone would applaud what you've done with your car, but you can't compare that motor to ANY fox, because it is a completely different beast...
Therefore, this whole voting process is simply a subjective view on what you would consider to be an all-around "nice" Mustang. AKA, just vote for the car you like best...
And lastly, no comment made on this forum could hurt my feelings, but I had to chuckle when I read that a stock 94+ car would handle better than a modified Fox....(if done the right way)

I may be new here on this site, but i'm sure everyone has lots of hard earned money and time spent on their cars. There really shouldn't be anyone shitting on someone's car because you dont like what they did. People can do what they please to their cars, thats why its "their car".
