Rob you should post up some info and pics on your whip !! Cuz in my opinion car of the year should be more than just wheels and paint !! How about acheivments in horse power .... or quarter mile times ... What's in the drivetrain .. Shit like that !!

Airbag in right rear

Weld Draglites 15x3 1/2 front,15x8 rear with 275/50/15 BFG Drag Radials
I purchased the car August of last year, fixed a lot of fucked up shit on it & added Novi 2000 & supporting hardware with all used shit except PMAS maf I bought new. It's really a simple/crude setup that goes fairly well. No dyno #'s but the car ran 12.23 @120.01 last month at NED. Once I can learn how to drive, it should run deep in the 11's in full street trim.

Agree that horsepower achievements are great, but at the same time, not everyone builds a Mustang to be a drag car...

Of course those people who don't are few a far between and certainly not the more 'common' of the Mustang owner.

I'm more interested in how a car handles, because clearly these cars were not built to do a great job of this...

So.... post suspension mods too!!!

i agree with mineral02 , we need to see more info on whats done to these cars. more pics especially under hood and interior shots as well. car of the year should be equally rated in all area's (underhood and interior). not just outside pics. thats my 2 cents...

This coming from the car with the off color hood.....i have over 10 grand in my car and i haven't even touched the motor yet....now that my car is NO LONGER for sale(bought an 06 KIA today for a regular car) the new motor will go in over the winter and i will show everyone what an engine bay is supposed to look like.as far as other pictures go ...here you go.














i have thousands of man hours in my car ...everything was done by me...car sits on a full tubular suspension ,built 8.8 Aluminum driveshaft,Tremec TKO,full exhaust longtubes back.killer stereo TV,DVD ect ect ect all thats left is the engine bay wich i was waiting to pull the motor so i could box the framerails and fill all the holes and run all the wiring inside the fender wells then drop in the new 306 and at the same time weld in the 8 point bar...ALL Myself.

Nice !! This is what i'm talking about !! headbang.gif what I ment was all anyone is seeing is basic pics ... People need to know whats in it and the acheivments made .. AS far as the " I have 10 grand in my car" comment ... laughing.gif Try $38,000 and no I don't have my hood painted yet !! But on the same note you don't have 600 horse power either !! nana.gif Oh and by the way All of us here work on and build our cars by ourselves so not sure why that neede to be said , but what ever ... shrug.gif

did you do all the work to your car yourself?..i did. including welding in my subframes and welding up ALL the factory body seams from the middle of the floor back.the motor thats going in I put together Myself and it was in my last car and made 430HP N/A

I sure did put it together myself !! This isn't the first time I picked up a wrench either .. I guess you missed the pics of the engine on the stand in my garage . I do all my own work because I just don't trust anyone to do as good a job as i would ..... I'm finding it a little tough to beleive your naturaly aspirated 306 made 430 hp . I have worked in speed shops and have seen many engine combo's dynoed and have yet to see what your claiming . So I suppose you can back up this claim with a dyno sheet or video... as I did .

I'm not sure why your so hung up on the " I did all the work myself " stuff , but if you think I paid some one to assemble my car..... you would be wrong !!! Anyway I'm proud of ya for doing all the body work ( paint and welding ) yourself ...... Considering you do it for a living, it only makes sense that you would .

if your saying that all you wanted to see was more pics than thats fine i appologize.but i take great pride in my car knowing i turned it from a shitbox into what it is and its nearly done and yes i have dyno numbers on that motor btw..lol
