bad wheel hop


i have a 91 mustang lx , went to the track yesterday and it wheel hops violently in the burnout box , it has brand new tubular upper and lower control arms already , brand new rear KYB shocks(white ones ) ,stock sway bar , quads removed (stocks were junk and KYB'S don't fit with my wheel offset)and with M/T Drag radials it will not hook up . any sugestions ? ..thanks

What kind of shape are the rear axle upper control arm bushings in ? These are usually the culprit for wheel hopp . If they are still stock then they need to be replaced . Do you remove the front swaybar for track runs ? It can greatly improve weight transfer . Maybe try some Moroso trick springs in the front and 70/30 adjustable drag shocks ...... Well this is my twocents.gif worth ..

yes they are the stock bushingpressed on the rear end ...i'll try to replace them with poly ones , and yes i had the front sway bar off the car .

i think i found out the problem with my wheel hop ,( WELL NOT ME..BUT) when i tightened the control arms the rear end was hanging and NOT AT or close to ride hight ....i'll loosen them up and try it out as soon as i have time ...wanna try to make it to the track (NED) ON THE 28TH

no i didn't i don't have a protctor , ...plus i'm all done for the year i'll get to it over the winter
