What is the best Tranny for my stang?

I was wondering if i could get some suggestions from you guys and tell me what is a good tranny to buy. Its an 86 gt 5-speed.

What are your mods/plans for the future. That will dictate what trans you'll need. Mild car,
world class T-5, wild car, Tremec TKO.

It all depends on the driving you do. I say go with a TKO600 .64 5th gear ratio. Great for street and track. You could steuup up to a .84 for racing only though/
