it also usually does it when you take out your AC. it has to do with the lines coming from the bottle. i usually cut them and crimp them so it seals up. but this time i fucked around with it and opened both of them up a little bit and just fucked with in for like 30 minutes, and now i have full function with my switch inside to make different choices. so my .02 is that it has something to do with that.

okaaay, i lied. i cut it and it only blew out of the defrost, then i wanted to cut the things shorter and when i cut them shorter the second time, BAM, my selector switch worked and i had all the options. i wanted to sound smart but honestly, i just got lucky.
You have something wrong with your vacume canister . Either that or you have a vacume leak some where . Whats happening is when your at idle or cruising the engine is producing a vacume . When you lay into it you will lose it and the vacume canister is a storage for your HVAC system so you can have uninterupted control of the venting system . If you didn't already know ......... when you go w.o.t. the a/c compressor will turn off until you back off the loud pedal again . Anyway your vents are going into a default mode when you start gettting on it . Look for the canister its usually in one of the front fenders between the fender well and the fender . I think its on the passengers side . Just trace the vacume lines . You will have to remove the front wheel and inner fender well to gain access.
