If I were you (meaning JIM), in your circumstances, I would go for Carb over MAF any day. There is no reason for you to go MAF unless you are planning on forced induction. Plus it is cheaper. Ditch all the computer shit and do a nice Intake/Carb combo and add heads later. Now if you want to end up in the boat I am in spending thousands of dollars and having your car sit looking pretty but not running right, by all means.
im glad mike thinks like i do haha, carb is def the way to go, cheaper, more torque and a hell of alot simpler to tune and make work good, plus u can get shit mad CHEAP through my work guy! hit me up when your ready to man up..i wont "Water down the heard" lol as gary wuld say, no tunnel ram dude ur crazy if u do that

it took about 2 minutes to warm up and wouldnt idle then once it did, it would swallow air like a fat chick after walking up the steps! to get more gas and air , you just change your carb intake, and air cleaner. to get more gas with a fuel injection, you need bigger injectors, mass air, cold air, throttle body, intake manifold upper and lower, and then a new air cleaner.
its all in how much you want to spend. ill stick with my fuel injection though.
if u ask me...if your building a carb'd car...your building it to do one thing...GO FAST!....its a purpose built car....75$ of the 8-9 second cars out there are carbed....RACE CARS....noone can deny that EFI has carb's beat on the street....but some ppl like carbs becuz they dont have to depend on an outside tuner, they can tune there own car with a 29$ timing light and a screwdriver...if ur only car is a mustang and u dont have a daily driver other than a stang, EFI is probly the way to go...but if u ask some ppl, they say fuck that, i like carb;s for the simplicity of the ignition and fuel system...plus im pretty much a N/a kinda guy and i love the torque of a carbed car....when u punch it...and those 4 barrels open, its all over....anyways jim...ik ull do the right thing haha....twin turbos are nice...but so EXPENSIVE DUDE...

i agree with big frank. carbs are so easy to build off of. if you want more air and more fuel, bigger carb, intake manifold, and air filter. simple as that. and with EFI you need new fuel injectors, mass air sensor, throttle body, upper and lower intake manifolds, fuel pressure regulator, cold air intake, and an airfilter. its half the price and time for the same, if not greater gains. my cars a daily driver so its EFI but if it was a track car, DEFINATLY carb
