I love going to Tennessee. My mother in law moved there in 1990 and we've been down to visit her 9 or 10 times since then, each time for a week. It's unbelieveable how nice of an area it is. The cost of living is one of the cheapest in the U.S. as far as buying houses/land is concerned. If you're buying "goods" like clothing, food, gas, cars, etc.... the cost is the same. We usually visit Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, and in Gatlinburg we visit the Hard Rock Cafe, Cooter's (Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia shop), Ripley's Believe It Or Not Aquarium, and other attractions. It's actually nicer than Orlando! I think I'll be retiring down there when the time comes, I like it that much.
