Whats going on hopefully someone on here can steer me in the right direction I have an 88 gt recently sent on the block to get rebuilt bored to a 306 all new parts including pistons new e cam, edelbrock aluminum heads, 1.7 rockers holley systemax intake. I converted the car from speed density and used the granitelli maf conversion kit and used the cobra computer and 24 lb injectors. Timing is set at stock 10 degrees before tdc. When starting the car with maf sensor plugged in car barely runs have to pump gas to keep running and i hear a popping coming from the intake. When unplugging maf connector vehicle sometimes holds idle but still runs like shit. Took the car for a ride around the block and vehicle lacks in power and wants to stall when coming to a stop. Thinking it could be something with timing and or vacuum leaks just wondering if anyone has any advice about this issue or a good mustang shop that could diag whats going on. im going to try and check for any vacuum leaks im pretty sure the maf sensor conversion went well i didnt move around any of the wires that werent suppose to be touched. I do have power to the MAF sensor, Any other input would be good tryna get this to the track before it closes. Thanks everyone.
