http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/fuo/2144214782.html I recently moved into a much smaller house, and my engine block coffee table that was the centerpiece of my living room now has no place in my new home. I am therefore, reluctantly selling my extremely unique hand-built coffee table. I started with a 302 Cubic Inch V8 from a Ford Mustang and stripped it down to the block. I then thoroughly degreased and sanded the bare block. It was then coated with silver paint. Four of the pistons were degreased, sanded, and polished. The four pistons support the 24" x 36" x 1/2" Thick glass table top. The pistons have a padded material on top of them to firmly hold the table top in place and to keep the glass from being scratched. The glass is in perfect condition, and to be honest, this was never really used as a coffee table, it never actually had anything on it, it was more just a centerpiece. The table is supported by four heavy duty casters, two of which are locking, that make it much easier to move around and give the table top the proper height. If you have any questions or would like to come see the table, please feel free to email me.
I think this is actually pretty cool haha. Definitely wants a lot of money but I'd rock it if I had room for it.
i like the table that they have on the tv show TOP GEAR i like that one better than this one but this one is cool... casters deff help moving the table around but just look out of place on this piece
