Yes I do have the TT. I just picked up a wc t5 for $60 with a bellhousing so I thought maybe a heavy duty rebuild would be ok. I don't race it so it won't be beat. But I may end up buying a tko over the winter
Unless you toss a G-force gearset or an Astroperformance gearset in that T-5...it won't hold up very long behind seruious power. That depends on how you drive of course.
im not a fan of the tko 500 i had one i didnt like it the tko 600 is absulutly nasty i have a 3550 in my 91 well not right now but will be again soon and its the best all around tranny i ever had but the tremec 6 speeds are sick but a pain to put in foxes
Is there a big difference between the 500 and 600? I've been looking at astro and g force too,but I have to see how much they go for. It's an aod now and I was even thinking of a built aod which is supposed to be pretty nasty.
the 500 started to make noise after like 5000 miles i wasnt nice to it but it did my buddy had a 600 in his car and pounded it with 600 horse never acted up and he would powershift it at the revlimiter all the time a built aod would work with a stall and a good cooler if you look in classifieds sean86gt has one listed if you dont race or pound the car a w/c t5 would be good for awhile
