waddup people? glad to finally be apart of the bostonstangs forum. found it through my buddy Tim aka "sled". i'm the proud owner of a work in progress (hence the "WIP" in my name) '87 2.3L auto hardtop notch w/ 80k miles. i do intend to eventually do a 5.0 swap to it, i hit a wall last time i tried, but right now i'm focusing on what it needs done before i focus on what i want to do. i defly do gotta give my car credit, for it's age and untouched except needed replacements (starter, timing chain, tranny, tune up parts, ect) it's in pretty good condition. it's main problems right now are that it needs new rear tires, it needs some body work (doors need skins & the rear driver's 1/4 panel has a rust hole) and some engine work is needed to keep it running properly (haven't been able to diagnose problem and please don't say it's b/c it's not a 5.0, i'm trying to make it one but i haven't been able to yet). otherwise it's problems are aesthetic and performance issues. needs some cleaning (with the rust how it is i haven't gone to car washes and i've been too busy to hand wash), the rear seat frame got bent (by a cop...) and my front seats have coffee stains (not my doing), i personally hate the hubcaps so i wanna get it new rims, wanna do the 5.0 swap (which means tranny & rear end swap & put a diff exhaust and what not), paint it a diff color, maybe put a (small) cowl on it and that's about it for what i wanna change on it. if anyone wants to chat you don't gotta be shy about it, i'm a good talker & a good listener :)

thanks everyone. lmao i defly intend to take plenty of pics, i actually need to take some new pics b/c i've done very small things to it recently. T76 Cobra : i could & i should but i don't want to part with my specific car, i'm way too attached to it & the memories in it lol. plus my dad almost wasn't gonna let the shortblock 5.0 & parts (that i used to have) be kept here (they weren't anyways) so there's no way i'd be able to keep a second car here (for any amount of time, i wanted a truck for the winter but can't w/o getting a storage unit for w/e one i'm not using). so where i've thought of it i don't think it'd be a do-able idea, thanks though. 90stangGT : yeah soooo fun, not lol. it sucks having no money and basically no one to do anything to it. i've had the car for almost 2yrs now and the only progress made was stuff it needed done to it so it would run. i haven't been able to do anything else and i've barely been able to do the stuff it needs. i plan on going on like latemodelrestoration.com or something and getting some stuff when my bday money comes in. unless anyone has spare (obviously foxbody) parts laying around they'd like to sell for reasonable prices, trade for stock or donate. hit me up if you do, i'd apprecite it very much.

SKEETER_SVT01 : haha depending. it's in pretty good shape. so if i leave it a 2.3L and don't do anything for aesthetic value to it there's not too much work (i hope, there is one problem we haven't been able to diagnose yet that's making it run rough). what kinds of parts do you generally carry or do you carry a wide assortment of basically everything?

Eightyfivefox : bodywork is first, might be getting replacement doors soon and then it's just a rust hole in the rear quarter panel. engine needs something done to it b/c it's got some kinda issue. and it needs new rear tires so i was planning to try and get all new rims & tires for it but i haven't found something for decent price that i like (that the deal didn't fall through). what do you mean about the lights? there's nothing wrong with my lights.

lmao. they need to be replaced, they were shitty beat up ones my ex had. all my pics of my mustang are up on my facebook. i do need to update it though cuz it has the 5.0 badges that aren't on in the pics, i messed around with the bumper lettering & Lx badge to make them look nice (in my opinion), i wanna get in some better shots of the issues, don't got any engine pics and i only have old ass (i don't believe they're posted, hope not) pics of me with it so i need new ones lol. i ain't really touched it though. like i said, anyone with spare parts that is willing to work something out with me (trade/sell/donate/hold so i can save up enough) for them hit me up on facebook or a private message.

thanks. yeah i'm finding a buncha people already & loving it. i went from a shithead bf who would get super jealous over any guy i talked to, try and take over doing my car to make it his way cuz he was doing the work && took all my money basically so i couldn't work on my car. to i broke up with him, have more money than a penny for longer than i used to and found a buncha awesome people to work on my car :). okks, i'll keep them in mind :)

Let me know if there's anything u need for your car like small stuff I have tons of crap and am parting my car out (85 in pic) and might have what u need or can prob get it I'm gonna end up junking the car and would rather give some extra stuff that I won't need away then let it get scrapped

U could even fit rear seats from a hatch in and I sold my front seats thy were black leather 95 seats just anything u need I can prob get it either free or really cheap

thanks masscobra03. it sounds like a good deal loopy and i trust you that i won't be dissapointed i just gotta sort my shit out first. like i said, i ain't seen my seats in forevers so idk how bad/good a condition they're in lol. are they just sitting around somewhere or do you need them out soon?
