Didn't the mark 8 stop production in 98? I didnt think they ever had the C heads. Try to sell them on SVT Performance, no one on here is going to buy them. You will also find C heads on there too. Probably run you a few hundred tops for unported ones. You may be able to find them ported on there too for some more money. The C head/intake/cam combo is a better one than the B head, but the cams can be combined to make the most power w/o having to buy a/m cams that are usually expensive.
thanks rob! i was thinking on there lol um yea ill post em on there once i get home..yea im looking for unported c heads and im gonna keep my cas cause there ore agressive thanks againg man!

A nice ported C head with a ported 01 cobra lower intake would be a nice match for a power adder. See if you can get some Nazman heads before he fell off the map and screwed some people. I've had a set for 2 years and someday will install them with the cams, Whipple and forged lower. I paid $900 for them.
The 03/04 C heads are the best ones stock for stock so go for those if you dont want ported ones. Also the Mach 1 intake is about as good as a ported 01 cobra intake. You could just sell your motor and find a 99/01 cobra motor. You can usually get them complete with wiring for $2000 or less. Its a better motor than a Mark 8 and still has the aluminum block.
well rob since last time i talked to u im basically replacing the bottom end with 03 cobra stuff just for strength and the fact for relitivly extra im that much safer....i only want "C" heads is cause after thinking long and hard and keeping ur perspective in mind im deciding on doing the eaton swap...porting is not a issue me and my father know how to do them since my cams are more agrssivve than the newer cars ill keep those ill let u know about results when ready and i signed up on svtperformance so might see u on there
Yup I go on there too obviously. There is some good tech info, although not much anymore. 03 lower end in a Mark 8 block is a good way to go. As someone who had done the eaton swap already its a good way to go. Its cheap and easy to do and above all the parts fit and if you need to replace something you can go to Ford and get it. If you need any parts then go no further than Tousley Ford. Talk to Steve in parts and let him know you are a member of SVT performance. You get parts at 10% over cost. I buy every Ford part I need from him.
Check out the cams, if you read up you will find that the optimal factory cam option is 98 intake and 04 exhaust. Look up a guy on there named NA SVT. He knows a lot about mod motor heads, cams, intakes and what works best. He also does a lot of porting and can probably give you suggestions if you need them. The eaton swap is pretty easy to do. If you need parts look up a guy on SVT Performance named 95LSC. He always has eaton swap parts at fair prices. I bought my swap from him and it was all as he described.
If you search the eaton swap on there you will find all the links on doing it. Its pretty obvious except you have to grind the knock sensor mounts off the block and cut mounting tabs off the heads. I'll let you know more when you are ready to do the swap. You will need some pigtails from Ford to run things like the alternator and IAT2 sensor.
thanks rob lotta good info man! and jonny the heads have to be swapped along with everything else with the eaton swap including the timing cover etc simple swap though and will be doing it soon...exspecially since i got a lead on a eaton :)
