SN95 T5 VS. Fox T5

What are the differences? Input shaft, bellhousing? Is there a way to modify the sn95 t5 to fit a fox? Father has one sitting upstairs from his sn95 with extremely low miles, while mine is a POS, any insight appreciated.

U need the bellhousing from an sn95 that's all because the input shaft I'd about an inch longer or something like that had one in my car installed without 95 bellhousing never worked till got the sn95 good luck

Or swap the input shaft and bearing retainer from a fox t5 onto the sn95 t5 and you can install it as is.

Of course would help to know what this t5 is out of. Is there a tag bolted to the bell housing and if so what at the numbers off it.

In that case you need to swap the input shaft with a fox input from a 90-93 and use a fox body bearing retainer.

You need to check in and out endplay as well. Spec is .000-.003 inches of movement from the input and mainshaft moving in and out.

Or you can use an sn95 5.0 bell housing, but the shifter will move back 3/4 of an inch and you will need to shorten the driveshaft.

I didn't have to shorten my driveshaft I did use the fox bearin retainer only because the 95 t5 I got didint have one on it and it did move shifter back a little but I barely noticed it as far as I know just needa change bellhousing and possibly that retainer I did do it though so it does work
