Bucking issues

Got the car running after a 2 year redo of almost everything. The idle was adjusted and warmed up the motor for a bit. The problem came after about 2 miles. The motor started bucked in third, down shifted to 2nd and the same results. I think it might be a vaccum leak, but not sure.

I barely made it home after holding the rpms around 2000. It seems like it had no gas. The fuel system had the filter changed, injectors changed and new motor. The mass air is calibrated for the 30 lb injectors. I am using the Trick Flow 360hp kit.

any ideas?

Frustrated

Distributor, MAF, and fuel cutout could be any of your problems

I was going to order a Msd distributor today. It has to be that or the computer. The funny thing is at idle it sounds strong with no problems, just under a load causes the bucking. Def electrical is what I'm thinking

Well I don't know what your problem is exactly but my car is having the same exact issues. I can only tell you what I've been told it could be. And I've changed all of these things for no better results. The car is still running like shit. I've changed my spark plugs to header plugs so there shorter. I've put new wires on. New msd cap and rotor. New tps. New tfi module on distributor. I've adjusted my timing. so not sure how much help that is but you can also try all of these. They just didn't work for my car.

have you replaced your distributor yet or the pip stator inside the distributor that is what caused most of my problems

Sounds like a MAF issue. Try swapping one with a friend or a known good one.

Found the problem. The mass air connector was connected, but it was not snug. Pushed it a little more, 1/8 of an inch and it rips down the road. I have a new radiator on order, because the old one can't keep the heat down. Thanks everyone for the ideas.
