fuel economy and emmissions.

only works at part throttle. It's off at idle and WOT. robs zero HP, but people insist on deleting it without really knowing what it's used for and do it incorrect that it causes more issues than good. Basically it pumps burned gases back into the engine lowering the amount of combustable air. In other words, it turns you 5.0 into a 4.5L or something like that. Since there's less burnable air, you use less fuel. It only operates at cruising RPM and load.

Do you want to restore it? Proper way to delete it is to block off the ports down at the heads and turn the EGR function off via chip, or just leave it unplugged so the EGR tosses a code and the EEC disables the function in the computer. (but the CEL will always be on)

Only thing you are losing right now is maybe 1-2 MPG at crusing speed.

Up to you if you want to reinstall.

All you need is an EGR valve right? Grab one of a junkyard car or something
