Mike, a friend of mine has that knob in her new edge and it doesn't fit well. it goes on and stays on, but it doesn't match up to the boot very well and just looks out of place. that's what's keeping me from getting one, although i have the best shift knob ever made for our car already hahaha.
I have the '05 Knob in my '93 GT.....I actually cut the lower portion of it off & it fits much better. It is designed to have the original '05 boot clipped around the bottom of it , but once it was cut down it looks good!
i'll never sell mine, but it's a limited run they did of special edition knobs in '03. it's walnut wood grain with the shift pattern printed on it in gold haha. the cheapest i can find it anymore is 111 bucks anyway, normally i see them for around 200 bucks. fortunately my father bought it straight from ford in '03 for like 40 bucks.
it does look good pj but i not a fan of wood grain or anything like that in a mustang mybe a diff sports car. more of a top end or expensive car like a benz or bmw
i might just go a carbon fiber or something else dont know know i might just leave it cause i like how the factory one grips i dont know how a bullit or chrome one would feel shifting especially just a round knob

personally, the only shift knobs i like are the one i have, the hurst pistol grip i keep in the glove compartment and the leather '99-'01 cobra knob i had in my first foxbody. i had a UPR billet aluminum knob and it was terribly uncomfortable.
yukes knob is the best looking knob out there if you ahve black interior... nice black leather, the billet on top matches all billet accesories... i tookthe car to MPE and all of them loved it they wsaid they never saw one before that was 5 speed-- got it on AM for about 60 i think... it matches perfect-- nice flat leather
