I'm with ya Ed. Everyone should donate...Some websites charge to register and Bostonstangs is free....I met alot of good people on here and have no problem helping the site.
If people have sold parts on here and don't donate they are just plain cheap! You know who you are. By-the-way everyone in the feedback section has sold something. If your not aware how to donate its on the bottom of the main forum page.

You have a good idea. So much of the classifieds are just other people's junk or some rotbox they are trying to sell. Making people pay will make them think twice before posting their garbage. Most forums don't charge you to post classifieds or to register, but this being a small site I can understand why you would. Things aren't cheap these days including websites.

Maybe your boy shiesta Tim can help you out. He was posting his shitboxes on a regular basis for a while.

Ok, He's not looking for a fee everytime somebody sells something.He is however looking to a small donation. It does cost money every month to keep this site running . If he fails to pay the site will turn off. I in the past have sold that i can remember injectors and gauges to members here . If members on here would make a DONATION then it would help Ed out alot. Come on guys would it really be that painfull to make a small donation ???

donating through the site is a bitch... when there are meets someone bring a grill.... and buy a pack of hot dogs or something... charge 5 or ten bucks to get in and when you get in you get a dog and a soda or something... then the site nets like 8 bucks per meet per person... maybe not do it every meet but maybe once a month or something... so over the course of spring summer and fall youll get like 40 bucks a person a year and no one will think anything of it, especially if your getting a dog or 2 and a soda when your at the meet

then like you said ed all the money comes back to the site... so after fees and stuff are paid on your end maybe get ROTM calenders made or something and give them out either free or real cheap and have a couple small things to keep the club alive during the winter like that... free sticker free calender... maybe get a plaque or something if you get ROTY

i didnt agree with ed i made a suggestion. and i went to a few meets but if i have to work im obviously not going. if theres enough meets everyone will eventually cycle through. and why would anyone donate to a club that cant even get formal meets together, i thought regular meets were a given come spring. and they should be.

its frustrating. ed i understand where your coming from but in order to raise money people need to appreciate the site. if the site is a bunch of classified and very few threads that help gather information or interest people no one is going to donate... you dont donate to craigslist, you donate to a site that provides you with something... if the site provides us with information, or meets like a club people will have no problem donating-- and making it a club

calendars with all the ROTM i bet people would buy... mark up the price and theres a donation

the site should be a business for you ed, you should be getting advertisment income... the sidebars of the threads and pages should be loaded with advertisments... not just a thread of sponsors...

Allright , just want to add that nobody is being accused personally for anything. It would just be nice if people that have sold parts or enjoy the site to make a small donation.

For people that are unaware how to donate on the main forum page at the bottom you can make a donation with your debit card. All donated money goes into a account that cannot be accessed by anyone including Ed. Its a account that only feeds the monthly dues to run the site. Thank you for understanding.

we need to foucs on turning this site into something that people wont care about donating to, that is why scrib brought up his meet ideas, while i dont think that idea would work out too well because nobody goes to our meets, its a start. il glady throw a few bucks towards ed because i like the site and i wana see it become something valuable, and ed shows he cares
