Line Lock

so when i bought my car last year the guy who owned it before (for a month before trading it in with 2k miles and a few grand in it) installed line locks... ive never used them, and dont know why they would be on a car with street tires-- street tires dont get warm from burnouts at the strip do they?

so what do i do if i wanted to use them... push the clutch and the brake flip the switch with the brake in then come off the clutch?

how much damage can this cause to the driveline?

it wont hurt the drive train its less stress than doing a brake stand the old fasion way and just push the brake flip the switch dump the clutch grab gears till you feel its smokey enough then let the swict go and hold on ive had them in a few of my old cars there eisier and your tires will dies fast once you try it once lol

I have line locks in a 67 Chevy with a big block...it's a little different because there's no ABS so I just hold my finger on a button located on the shifter, pump the brake pedal until the pedal becomes firm, just a slight dump of the clutch and I can light the tires for days
