Here's one method. Might help to wait til summer time to do this, because the sun might not be strong enough just yet.

On a SUNNY day, cut a large contractor size trash bag to size of the rear window. Use the outside of the window as a template.

Once cut, get a spray bottle and mix up a solution of soap and water. Spray one side of the trash bag with it and go inside the car and apply it to the window spraying and pressing until the bag is pretty much sealed against the glass.

Now, park the car with the widow directly in the sun. Close the windows and A/C vents and walk away for a few hours. Keep checking to see if the bag has fallen down and reapply if it does.

After an hour or two, check and see if you can lift the corners of the tint. If you can, gently start to pull it off. If should come off fairly easily at that point.

The older the tint, the harder it is to take off.

Another method is to use a steam gun. It works like above basically using humidity to loosen the glue. Most pro tint shops should have one.

If you don't want to waste the time, take it to a shop and pay them. They do this sort of thing all the time

Yup. Personally, any tinting i'd go to a shop for. Their tint quality is better. Autozone tint tends to turn purple over time. If you want to do it yourself, buy quailty tint like 3M or Huper Optik ($$$) and do it with that and not AZ $10 5% tint rolls.

I have had my Mustang tinted 12 years and the tint is still like it was the day it went on.

Yo... if you dont want to pay someone to take it off... You can use a heat gun. Heat up the glass on either side... use a razor blade to start one of the corners... if you heat it as your pulling it off you shouldn't have any glue left behind... But if there is glue left behind use a spray bottle full of alcohol/thinner... spray it on heavy.... then start scraping it with the razor blade... if you have a rear window defroster dont use the razor you'll scrape off the defroster and it will destroy it....

but the brick idea is pretty mint.......
