So I was driving along in Mansfield this afternoon when I came up on this clapped out beatbox Toyota Corolla wagon with a fart can and gauges. The driver kept eyeing me in the rear view and chucking revs....soo the light turns green he guns it and I proceeded to get on it to try and keep up....well we're going for about 1/4 mile when iIsee a cop...i pretty much just slowed down and stopped because i knew i was pretty much fucked....the other dude banged a right and ran....cop came after me threw the blues on, came up to my window and was like I can pull you out of this car and arrest you right now do you want me to do that? I was like "nope" haha but all in all he was actually pretty cool because I was honest with him so all in all he just gave me a $360 speeding ticket for 81 in a 40, warning for drag racing and a warning for my rejection sticker....it was totally dumb to screw around with that guy because out of all the crazy shit i've done in my mustangs I get screwed for racing in my bone stock beat up 98 nissan altima with 210k on the clock....dont speed and fuck around ont he streets because getting a ticket like this aint worth it and my driving record was clean

dam kid that shit sux. i hate stupid shit like that. the same stuff happens to all of us, especially when were in our stangs. but you just need to know better. i get it all the time, but i really cant afford any tickets nor can i afford losing my license
Normally i'd say fight it....but you have a written warning for drag racing written right on the ticket. They will read the police report and that will be brought up. Plus 41+ over the speed limit is pretty tough to talk your way out of. So i'd bet that you won't win that appeal at all.
When i was 18 (11 years ago), i got the same exact ticket, except the warnings you got were not warnings in my situation. I got out of it..but the lawyer cost me some big $$$. Needless to say...you got off REALLY lucky here.

Fight that for sure. You will have a very hard time getting the whole thing dropped, but if you push it to go in front of a judge the cop may not show and you win by default. You have nothign to lose and maybe you can at least have it knocked down a bit.

honestly he got the jump on me and was a car length ahead of me....i dunno if my car would have beat it....but it dont matter i think the headgasket blew in my altima today so now i'm fucked and i'm gonna fix my stang hopefully this weekend and just drive that
and honestly i got the break of a lifetime, i clearly know i was wrong and got let of easy so i'm just gonna man up and pay it!
the cop said usually he tells people to try and appeal their tickets to try their odds, but he said in my case he wouldnt b ecause if i go infront of the judge majistry they will probably be pissed because he let me off on that and they will try to make me pay the drag racing fine because they dont take it lightly. And i called my mom yesterday and told he about the ticket and shes a lawyer and she said NO WAY just pay it because they can and will make me pay huge fines for that.....so fuck that just pay it and all that will be on my record will be a speeding ticked
I did't think they could give you the fines after the fact. If they can make sure you just pay up. Luckly all of my 50-sum offences have been minor so i always appealed them with nothing to loose.

Its ok I have an illegal operation on my record for a fuckin loud exhaust, as well as a few speeding tickets...My best one was an 80 in a 35...Except I wasn't racing anyone, just felt like putting it to the boards. Honestly, 75% of people who own stangs are gonna wanna tear it up every now and then, its all a matter of whether you run into a cop or not. Luck of the draw.
