i want a stock cam, i decided on 1.7rr and springs. i found a good deal on the comp cam ones but im not sure if theyed be to much for stock cam. i am not sure if the headers will clear the spark plug wire boots. i gota test fit everything.

I have the explorer factory headers at the shop but I'm not sure how they fit in a foxbody. If your stuck and want to try them let me know.

i ended up given in and geten gtp headers smashfreakB u wouldnt happen to have the rockers from a explorer would u. figured im find tons of deals on heads after i bought my new ones smashfreakBsmashfreakB

I do have a pair of gt-40p heads I gave to my machinist buddy to clean up. I can see if I can grab them, I will be upgrading any way. I give him a call tomorrow.

so i finaly made myself time to do some work to it, i got the oil pump installed, and now the oil pan wont sit right on one side. the pump seems to big........

That happened to me before, check the #s. It might be for an early mustang.

i measured the pan and the pump there both the same size as the last, checked the part number. it only doesnt fit over the side the pump sits like half a inch, is that normal tull u put the gaskets on? it doesnt seem right.

throw the gasket on for shits but you can't rely on a gasket for clearance, sounds like the wrong pump. The wrong pump I installed was doing the same thing about a 1/2" too big-smashfreakB

i mite try the old pan i had on it before too for shits. i measured the pumps and compared them too its fkcne weird . i even measured the pans

well it was the oil pan, which ones are slighty smaller where the pump mounts/. if anyone needs one that one was brand new lol........ i gota get this thing done, im gona try to work on it everyday next week hopefully i finish it.

???? why cuz its going so slow lol sucks having to work on shit boxes wen u know u have your own shi tthat needs to get done. i got the freeze plugs in , i jus needa slide the timing chain on and put the front cover on, then the hardest thing is proly gona be setting up the intake i hope....lol its looken like a engine now atleast

haha i know there eeverywhere, we dont have shop clothes and im like absessed with having everything perfectly clean before installing it. there not one bolt on that engine with grime on it. hoping to get the front cover on tomorow. i dont think the cam was a stock one i should wrote down the numbers.

i want to keep it the color it is lol. i hope i get to paint it though , we have stupid saftey rules idk if it will allow me to. il proly jus do silver or black if i do. i wanted to do ford blue but it wouldnt look right with my car. next big thing i gota figure out is this intake and tb. how big is stock maff? was going to try and use it tull i finish breaking in my engine

My motor was painted silver and gray kind of bland lol. i will paint some of my parts red to break it up.

engines ready to drop in , jus wonder about a couple places where it looks like freeze plugs should go but on my other block theres nuthing there ether. and in the back of the lower intake there a spot for a screw in one but my other block doesnt have it. ill try and get a pic of wat i talken about. cant get to it next week buyt the week after the engine should be in yyyaaaaaaaaaaa

bbk longtubes work fine i have 1 5/8 fit perfect with p heads, i also have a set of shortys that i took off my car if u interested

i havnt accauly test fit any yet. i ended up geting fms gt40p headers though. i got them off corral but they sell them on 50 resto.
btw in back of the lower intake does your block have a screw in freeze plug or a lil hole with threads. the one im building does but the freeze plug wont go in, and my other block doesnt even have anything back there

I am not sure I usually have the machine shop replace all my plugs. But off the top of my head I think it is a press in.
