Stay away from the BBK SSI.
Major fuel leak issues.
I had one, thought it was cool looking but after reading about all the issues, I sold it.

Are you going to supercharge it?
Holley systemax is one of the better choices out there.

But if you are running stock heads then the best intake ever won't being doing much for you.

IIRC the systemax can flow ~ 250 cfm out of the box, but the stock heads are only good for maybe 140-150 cfm unported.

So if you are going to change the heads and cam as well go for it, but if you are gonna run stock e7's, then pretty much any intake out there is gonna max them out.

yea, i've seen systemax intakes hurt a lot more then help with stock heads. if you ask me, a cobra/gt40/explorer or a trickflow street intake would be my only choices with stock heads.

Bingo. You could potentially put more power to the wheels on a cheap $300 Junkyard GT40P/Explorer intake combo vs a $600 Systemmax on stock E7 heads.

It's all about making the parts work together well. So the question of what is the best intake manifold to go with depends on the rest of the combo really.

not to steal the topic but would it be worth porting my cobra upper/lower (supercharged 306) that has stock gt40s or going with a systemax?

Yes, you might gain something by porting the lower intake. That's the bottlenecl in the cobra intake setup.

Byt with stock Gt40's, don't expect a huge difference. Now, if you were to port the gt40's, then a ported intake would make a world of a difference

I have a Edelbrock super victor EFI, with the eldow... ports are huge.. great poweradder intake...It Port matched great with my AFR 205's.. The holley systemax is a great intake for natural and poweradder.. I've used the holley on my 1992 Gt with an S-Trim and without..
Nice intake..
