now that you open this read it. the site currently has $0.00 funds that means the $82.00 to run it a month is coming right outta ed's pocket, i personlly don't think thats fair as everyone uses the site and makes money off the site, i know not everyone has money to be throwing around but if everyone was to throw a couple bucks in it would add up. i know i'll see ed on sunday and i'll be talking over about taking cash donations since alot of people don't use pay pal. so anyone coming to the meets if you got like 5 or 10 bucks to spare. we will be collecting donatons. this money will go towards stickers, shirts, and come the spring time cookouts. and people don't think this money is going in his pocket cause it's not, it will be getting stuff for everyone. ed's not out to make money off of running this site. he runs it cause it's a fun thing to have.

Anyone can come up with 10 bucks a year or something. We should also look on geting more ads but i know thats hard. But im up for a yearly fee asap if thats what is needed to keep the site up. I think we would loose a lot of mebers but motivated ones would step up. If that idea sucks Im sorry but what else are you gonna do. That is pretty rediculous money to host the site. I can already tell this will be an issue that will be beat to death. But until we find something that works consistantly this topic isn't going to go away.
just a idea but why dont the owner and the 2 top members pitch in on hoodies t-shirts and stickers getting made,than everyone that wants to be a legit(real bostonstangs) member pays $80 once and gets a hoodie,t-shirt and one sticker,$80 times 10 would be $800 that would defenitly pay for all the stuff being made and thats only 10 members if 100 members do it thats $8000,you gotta spend $$$ to make $$$,just my thoughts cuz im sure some members are gonna get scared away from this site if you just ask them for $$$ i like the site and def wanna help out anyway i can but i think thats the best idea to bring us to the top what do you guys think
I think 89notch has the best idea. I mean 80 bucks may sound like a decent amount, but when you spread that out over a year its Cents a day not even a dollar. I think that would be alot better than just giving 25 bucks. Either way however im down. But i think if we all got a hoodie and a sticker when we give the money is a great idea.

And im not saying delete all the members that dont pay. just cut off the classifies and other fourm topics. If you cant afford the 10 bucks you must suck pretty damn bad. or if you think this place sucks so be it.

this is one the best ideas so far considering a lot of people use the site mainly as a classified add. 10 bucks a year isnt bad especially if your making it back by selling stuff on here
this issue always comes up .the thing i dont understand is how can you run a site and expect people to pay to use it when they have no say in how it is ran ?? there are a ton of sites out there that people use all the time that are free .if you cant afford to pay for a site why own it ?

good point i have taken money out of my own pocket for this site and seems like for everyone else that has also always gets fucked in the end. bonz bought tshirts out of his pocket and to months and almost a year to sell them and he only really ordered enough for the people that wanted them. it was pulling teeth to get money for the banner. i think the mods and some long time members only paid for the banner. stickers i bought cause people were begging for took me for ever to sell. its not like i made a single $$$ off of it i charged wihat it cost to make. would agree dues could be a good idea if the site/club was nation wide but we can bearly get members to come to meets. just my rant but who knows from what i remember the ads pay for the site each month
