Rear control arm install questions

I changed my rear control arms, shocks, and springs. I am going to install the springs this week. My question is: Do I have to have all four tires with weight on them, or can I just put weight on the back of the car? When I changed my control arms in my 85 I used a drive on lift, so all tires were on the ground. No I am on a two post lift and just want to make sure I get the bushing in correctly. I figure I can put some pressure on the rear end pumpkin with a jack and then tighten up the control arm bolts once the springs are in. If this does not sound correct, I would appreciate any input.
