is there any difference between the two? which would be better for a 700hp at the motor street/strip car?

you are going to need a better tranny then both of those for 700 hp

ya i would get that one its $3400 plus $600 for a calibrated throttle body then $1000 for a good torque converter

but what im asking is whats the difference it says aod or aode i was just wondering and i know 5k is alot but hey it would be worth it and i was thinking about just buying internals not the whole trans ya know so it should be cheaper

AODE is controlled by a computer. AOD is not. I think the AODE replaced the AOD in 94 or so.
AOD's use a TV (Throttle Valve pressure) cable to control shift points
AODE shift points are controlled by the EEC.
