fuel pressure issue

after about a 20 min drive my car started to pop from the exhaust and giving it throttle produced no power. i limp it home and it dies right infront of my house (thankgod). i pop the hood and the fuel pressure was still reading about 30 psi. i went to start it and it started but fuel pressure dropped down to about 10 psi and didnt climb at all. giving it gas and it pops and stalls out. it took me like 20 tries to get it into my garage. my gauge was reading 0 psi with key on but i pushed open the valve and fuel came POURING out at prolly 30psi or more. i disconnected the fuel rails and let all the fuel out. reconnected and restarted and now reading 35 psi, 40+ psi with throttle. what the hell happend???? is this a sign that my fuel pump is dying out?

ive also been battling a CEL that comes on after heavy throttle. the code is 66 and indicates low maf signal at WOT. it hasnt come on lately but after brief WOT runs there is a little miss shortly after. i dont think the maf has anything to do with it. it seemed like a fuel issue from the start. i got no kinked lines or anything like that. i actually swapped in new rails and lines with the new injectors.

my car ran flawlessly before the mods and im almost leaning towards taking all this shit off and going back to stock.

maybe your fuel pump is overheating and not giving you the pressure needed afterward

bolt ons should have no effect on anything like this

if the module in the dizzy is going bad it can cause the fuel pump to not keep pressure

Dirty fuel filter perhaps ? Maybe some crap got buy the filter and partialy clogged the line . Or maybe some dirt got in the line when you had it apart last .
