E7TE heads

Just got a free pair of e7te heads and there covered in surface rust. would they clean up if I had them machined and replaced the valves? already plan on putting a spring kit on them so all that stuff is getting replaced. Please give me your input

if you have surface rust on the exterior of the head just go to town with a dremel and a flapper wheel. then paint the exterior. But if its on the block/contact surface, you could get them decked like .010 thousands, that would clean them up... but im not sure what its going to cost you to get that work done. I just did a set of E7's and the valve job/porting work allowed for me to support an extra 100 hp if the engine/everything else runs right. so its up to you...

the marginal gain of a few bucks might not be worth the time of driving the heads to a shop and what not. make sense?
