i just built a 306 with edelbrock heads 24lb injectors with the correct mass air 75mm tb big cam hi6 box fireball coil egr delete etc........ sometimes whenits hot after driving it but not always it starts hard even didnt start ionce pulled the plug and they were wet i changed thaem and started up no problem what could be causeing it to do this
i dont think its timing ive timed it a bunch of diffrent ways to get it to run a great and it does no pinging and it rips but its a pain with the starting prob could it be the stock regulator ?
if it cranks forever but doesnt catch, the plugs are wet and if you change them it fires right up, some of the injectors are bleeding down causing a flood conditon.
i know its an old post but i changed the distributor and modual and its still the same if i change the injectors if thats the problem it should be fine also it seems to do it worse on these hot days but if i shut it off then start it quick its fine but i shut it off and wait a minuite its done till it cools down
