get the new guys to stay active, have more traffic. have more meets at the track its a good place to be.

Plus I am going to try and get the "How-To" section up and going with a little more info, I know that section is lacking info, so with in the next few days and weeks I will be working on that as well and improve on that..

i agree more shit shows, and meets in other places not just at brantree, maybe bounce around instead of always at the same place

i think you should just cut your loss and shut it down ....have you guys ever really checked out other local sites and see where they are ???check out Bostonmotorsports ,wait you cant cause he tried to run that site like this ask for money and made rules shut down after 2 years ......look at FYC maybe 10 new posts a week not any traffic cept for regulars and asking for money ....look at NEMS been running for 4-5 years , new posts , different cars , good tech if you need it ,need thick skin at first but doesnt ask for money at all and no BS with warnings,banning or deleting of anything ....

if you guys have to try this hard to make this work maybe it just isnt meant to be ....when people are saying "watch the F bombs ?? or guys settle down ??come on that shit isnt going to work your on a website full of one car and everyone is trying to out do the next ......i still cant see giving someone money to make a website work when i have ZERO input on how it is ran ...thats like me renting a car so my buddys can pick up chicks and i cant drive BUT i can sit in the back seat ...maybe change the name ??bostonstangs does anyone really live IN BOSTON or is everyone like 20miles or more away ?????

But in all seriousness I asked for everyone's input and I didn't expect every single one to be positive which is fine, because everyone is entitled to there opinion's and I have nothing against that.. And sometimes the negitive responses can be helpful and at least we will know how some of you guys truely feel about the site, weather it be good or bad, it's ok.. Thanks again guy's for voicing your opinions. I do agree with having more meets and having them in different locations, going on cruises and the track more often and such.. Have more BBQ's.

About the chatbox, I think a ton of awesome info goes out right through the chatbox here that would make the site much more active and get even more input if it was put into threads instead of just the 3-4 people that are on at that time. Just talking is fine, but a lot of good stuff just goes right through there that would help show that this site is pretty active.

most people on this is probably don't go to many of the meets at the plaza because there are no incentives for them to go or because its perceived that no one goes and they suck...well thats what I've heard from some people on this site.... maybe by changing the locations to different spots may draw more people. i definitely think a lot of people would show up to a BBQ / track meets.

easier said then done... but x2. It is almost impossible to get more advertisement then we have, all other manufactueres and w.e i contacted last year would not do it because of the lack of members, they typically will only do it if there are a few thousand members active. Also track day I agree, however goodluck getting people to get money together... lol

It all comes down to how active the site is/ how many members are on and what not... not how much people like or dislike the site.
Again... please dont post shit you do not know about...
And again I will say it. I have done a LOT with the site many many members do not know about.

I'm not posting shit I don't know about, nor was that a hit on you. Not a word was said about you, or anyone inparticular. It was a general statement.

I know you've done a lot for the site, and we all appreciate it, but obviously nothing else is getting done if we're in the middle of this conversation, needing ways to fund the site.

Look into local places before you try big business'. No big companies will want to give money to a small website that's only got members from a relatively small area because it won't bring much of any business. Local shops are much better off because we're all in the area.

What's the deal with the few sponsors we have at the bottom of the forum, plus MMR? That's 4, they could completely fund this site for a bit over $10 a month.

I think the site is great . The meets are good but theres power in numbers the more people who show up etc etc . Videos are great tech and classifieds are full of examples and parts so keep up the good work Bostonstangs. Were only as strong as we participate in our own and other meets .
