putting together a new top end for my car, finally.
it consists of:
-Holley Systemax II intake -70mm BBK throttle body and egr spacer. -30lb injectors with C&L MAF -Trick Flow Twisted Wedge track heat heads -Crane Gold 1.6 ratio roller rockers -Trick Flow stage 1 cam (Anderson Ford Motorsport B41 cam if i pick up the new shortblock) -Northern aluiminum radiator and dual electric fans -Mac 1 5/8 ceramic coated longtubes -Mac O/R H-pipe -Spintech Prostreet mufflers -FMS T5z tranny with a king cobra clutch and Pro 5.0 shifter
if all goes well and the shit i'm trying to sell, sells in time, i'll be picking up a fresh 10.7:1 compression 347 stroker to bolt it all to at the end of next week.
hoping to have everything set and back in the car by the end of april. stoked!

haha yaa i hear ya, i had a mostly stock car, now its got heads/cam and everything, and i find myself driving it harder than before, but i mostly do it when no one is around cause i dont feel like getting pulled over
i know wat ur talkin about supertukes... my 86 is mostly stock and i dont like to get on it much just bcuz the power isnt there lol, i just cruise with it
what size valves are in the heads depending on that id swap those 1.6 rockers for 1.7s put that all together and dont buy that 347 buy a s-trim tune it to 500hp and youll never stop smiling

2.02 valves in the heads. i wouldn't be able to get away with 1.7's on a stock shortblock. i already have the 1.7's, they came with the heads. so i'm just gonna stick with them. and as for a blower, i'd much rather stay n/a with the 347 instead of frying my stock motor haha.

so much for the 347, it's set up for inline valves, not twisted wedges. i'll just be throwing everything on my stock shortblock for now, then something good this winter.

yea, should still be fun for the summer. just gonna be a pain in the ass to get everything put together for the summer, then pull it all again to do something with it this winter.
Even on a stock block 302 w/ good h/c/i you can still see around 300 rwhp. With a good set of gears you will feel the difference right away. I'd still do an s trim with it as funds allow. A 347 is nothing compared to an strim. If you really want a stroker do a 351 based stroker.

What he said absolutly. just H/C/I your short block toss a s-trim at it youll be in love. adding a blower is cheaper than doin a stroker motor and 302 based strokers are a waste of time. Just my out look on things

an S-trim would be cheaper if i wasn't getting this stroker for 1500 bucks, with all the accessories and shit. i could find an S-trim for the same, then i need bigger injectors and mass air for it, plus a fuel pump and at 123k miles on my motor, i don't want to push my luck.
a 351 based stoker would be nice, but then i need new headers to fit it, new intake and a SHITLOAD more money. i can still make decent power with a 347, and it'll be more then enough for now. it's my only car and i need it every day, so i can't have it tied up forever, nor can i chance blowing it up with a blower.
