WHile this swap is doable ... I'm not sure how if at all , it will effect emissions . Because of the older motor in the newer car and the fact your going from 2valve to 4 . Mostly because your vin# is going to come back as a 2 valve . Besides this there are a number of differences .... exhaust from the headers to the H or X pipe , throttle cables and cruise cables , intake tubing , the engine wiring harness, is completley different ... as the 4 valve has nock sensors and the 2 valve does not . Plus because of where the coils are mounted the wiring harness is longer and so on . I'm not sure if the radiator is different , but I 'm gonna say yes . Also I beleive the Cobra engine has an oil cooler set up and your 2 valve does not .
Also the cobra's PATS system won't be compatible with your ignition key . You will have to get the car towed to the dealer for reprogramming . Other wise it will crank but not fire . You will also need a cobra fuel sytem to go with it .
Your best bet for answers will probably be on modularfords.com web site .

sounds like a lot of work. why not just through a cam in 2v. 300rwh is not hard to achieve in a stick car.
