Suspension Q's

I am looking into replacing the shocks/struts front and rear.. What is the best bang for the buck, but has great overall quality? I know the rule of thumb is "If you want quality, You gotta pay for it!" Thanks guys and gals for the input. I greatly appreciate it. headbang.gif

my strange 10-ways have nubs on the knob that turns so they cant wear off with one thats larger to denote position 1.

i like em a lot keep the rears at 6 and the front at 6 for street and 1-2 track

http://www.strangeengineering.net/catalog/index.html

go to bottom right and where it says: Mustang steel bolt-inshocks,
struts & coil-over kit - pages 60,120

click on 120

u dont need the coil over kit but you can upgrade to that later using the same struts and with the springs they offer on the next page

They actually come out to $378 + shipping

I think I found what I'm looking for... Here is a link to the kit I was thinking about getting... After doing a little research I found this set up.. It's affordable for me, now I just have to look for someone to help me install it, if and when I deside to buy it.. Hopefully soon.. Money has became tight at the moment so it may be a few weeks before I may purchase this set-up.. but without further interuption here is the link.. Let me know what you guys think.. Thanks again. headbang.gif

I have Bilstein adjustables in my car. They are great parts. They aren't along the cheaper lines though, neither is Koni. Tokico are a little more affordable and would probably work for you.

One thing I didn't see your mention is your purpose. Are they street, drag, road race? Your link doesn't show up. I wouldn't put stock Ford parts back in. Fox body suspension is poor from the factory and if you need to replace parts then you should upgrade to something worth your money and time.

Opps your right I did forget to mention that.. I am mainly looking for a street set-up I wouldn't mind a street/strip set up, but again I'm on a tight budget. I had money a few weeks ago but because I have to move out of my house I now am on a budget and need to find an affordable suspension set-up.. On another note, the mustang doesn't get driven all that much anyways so I'm not worried about not getting some sort of top of the line suspension set-up, but I also don't want a crappy one too... Thanks again guys for the quick replies. I greatly appreciate it. headbang.gif

Street/Strip you could probably do fine w/ Tokicos or something similar. I don't think you would need Bilsteins or Konis, but they wouldn't be a bad choice if you can afford them. Koni offers single and dual adjustables. Another thing too would be springs possibly. They would help out as well with ride/handling. There is actually a never ending list that gets going once you start. Then comes bushings, control arms, steering upgrades, etc.

Here is a link to some for sale stuff. http://www.newengland-motorsports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35397

Its more of a drag setup and Eibach springs too. If the price is right it may be worth it for you to buy them. You could convert to coilovers easy enough one day if you wanted to. They would ge helpful at the track if you care about that.
