There are thousands of shops in MA to choose from. Most will do it right but you are gonna pay. Don't expect it done properly for $2000 because it won't be. Figure on spending $4000 minimum to have the job done properly. One guy on here is a sponsor I think, J&L Auto. He is in the same lot as a body shop that has done a lot of fox bodies. I always see them when I'm at his shop. They are in Whitman.
Compeitition Specialties in Hanover has done several award winning show cars. Bobby T's cobra had the flames done there, the orange 1st gen camaro that is at all the local car shows also go done there. Thats not really the cape though.

ya but what if you do all the prep work yourself and just need it sprayed?

You can take the car apart yourself. If you sand it down that helps too. Any good shop won't guarantee your car if you give it to them in primer ready to spray. Too much liability for them to hope you did it right. I would still be they will want at least $2000+. Paint and materials will run you almost $1000. Then their labor to paint the car. Going with motors some cars can total 25+ labor hours to paint. thats putting you close to $2000 right there. I'd plan for maybe $3000-$4000 if you take it apart. That should include wetsand/buff afterwards.
They get what they pay for. When they end up paying more in the long run to have the Maaco special removed then the car properly done they will think twice next time they skimp out on bodywork. I have no sympathy for them.
