94 GT Motor

does neone have any info on the 94 Gt Motor?

why it has less horse power than the my 90 GT?

how it is when adding a E303 cam or ne cam?

wat cam would u put in?

how are the pistons?

How are the heads and what kind?

I'm asking these questions, cuz i got my first mustang and ima buy a 94 Gt Motor to swap in cuz my motor now is in need of some serious work and would like to no some more specs than what the websites offer, i rather find out by someone who has modified, driven or woked on one. jus wanna no what i can and cant do to this stock motor. if u have ne ideas on wat i should/can do to this motor, please feel free and let me no so i can get some good power. Would greatly appreciate some feedback, thx

should still have the e7 heads or if your lucky gt40's but they only came on cobras, as for the motor it's the same as all the other foxes i think, but runs off a totally different computer system. pistons and block are all the same. hope this helps

I had a 94 GT that I mildly modified . With just a set of 1.7 cobra rockers , under drive pullies , cold air kit , 14* of timing and the usual exhaust upgrades it made 230 rwhp !
The engine did not make less horse than your 90 . Ford just changed the way it rated it. The 225 rating was based on not running any accessories like P/S , A/C, alternator , etc . After 91 or 92 Ford changed the ratings based on having the accessories and ended up with 215 .
As for cams ... that depends on how good of shape your springs are in , but I wouldn't push more than .500" of lift . So an e- cam ( .498 of lift) would be a good choice .
The pistons are hyperautic ( spelling ) and not forged like the ones in your 90" . These are not ideal for power adders , but will work just fine in low boost or spray applications .
The heads are the same on your 90 ..E7's
You will want to change a few things to drop it in your 90.....Like from the timing cover forward and the upper intake and throttle assembly .

Thx for ur reply, so all I will need to drop in this motor will be to change the intake manifold, throttle body, wat about the oil pan, I was told to change that to, will this motor run fine in my car, even though it runs on a different computer, is it a good move to buy this motor and put it in, cuz I really need a 302 longblock for my car, found this motor for 350 bone stock. Thx

i was told by the guy i bought from in NH who claimed he was a mechanic, that it had 103k....i did my research on the car and found out it had 203k, its been smoking when idleling from the the right header, i think there is fluid spitting out from somwhere, then smoke poors out the oilcap also when started along when i drive and shift everytime a cloud of smoke pours out the xhaust.

if you wanna put in a 94 gt motor in a fox body the right way you gotta change all the accessories and timing cover to fox style wile you are there you should change it to fox oil pan (it may fit but i thought near the timing cover its different) also i am not sure but when i did my swap i used a 98 explorer upper and lower intake with the fox body injector harness with newer flex fuel injectors and the car screamed ....i brought it to uti in norwood and it made 290 rear wheel horse .....................................if you need one of those motors i may be able to get one for you older explorer motors will work and the 94 thunderbirds will also work

Are you saying that you made 290 rwhp with stock E7's and stock cam ? ... and all you did was an explorer intake and newer injectors ?
I'm not saying you didn't , but if that's the case ... then you would be the first to accomplish those numbers with that combo ! confuse.gif
