some of you guys are talking like its a shit ton of money ....check out corral they pop up here and there ....i was going to buy an 93 gt with a 2v motor swap done for 4500 just needed to have it shipped up from Texas but i passed at the time ....a 4v fox u should be able to find for under 10g with no problem
this has been something i've though about doing,, and maybe it will help you............. if you go with a lincon continental 4.6 4v motor there everywhere for dirt.buy the whole car so you have everything to run it. im ALMOST positive its the same long block. ive reserched this and the long block ford part#'s match the cobra. just ditch the intake set up and the tranny. good luck!!

Its got a cast crank instead of the steel one in the cobra. Much weaker than the cobra one. Aren't continentals front wheel? I alwasy though they were. Mark VIII motors are close, but they have the POS crank too. They do have teskid blocks though which are nice to have. The intakes are different. The heads are the B heads found on the 96-98 4V.
There was a 93 notch w/ a cobra motor in it that sold on there for $6500 and it took him quite a while. They aren't much more than you average pushrod fox body these days. I think this one had a griggs suspension in the car too. 2 of my friends owned it then it got sold, mod motor swapped and painted silver instead of white. The days of getting 10-12 grand for a 96-01 mod motor swap are long gone.
i would of bought that in heart beat i have been looking but nothing good
check out corral.net and see if that Texas car is still there. Its not a notch though. Its a white GT w/ a 2V. I know its not the motor you want, but its a good start. I think he wants under $5000 for it. You could swap in a 4V pretty easy. Either that or pick up a mod motor car cheap and do the work yourself.
Keep looking and don't get impatient. They are out there and you will find one.
