yesterday is history tomorrow is a mystery
Bilstein w/ a coilover setup is the best, but probably overkill for most people. Coilover ride quality is no worse that stock. Don't believe the internet know it alls who will tell you it is. I have the full MM setup in my car and the ride is better than stock and no where near as sloppy.
If you don't want that expense then Bilstein shocks/struts w/ some H&R race springs would do you well I think. H&R SS springs if want more drop, I think they go 1.5" and the race springs go 1". Get some aluminum rack bushings too from MM. Just call MM direct and talke to them. They have the best example of consistent customer service quality out there. They have a package with all you need. I think it includes subframe connectors too.
I hate Eibach springs. Worst ride ever. Front end of the car always felt like ti was going to float away to me. Way to bouncy.
You need to get a good alignment after as well. I ended up at Fast Track Service in Peabody 978-977-0707. No one on the south shore knows how to align a car properly after suspension changes. Scott @ Fast Track does though. He is the only one I will ever let near my car for alignments, ride height, corner weighting, etc. He could do the install for you to if you wanted. I guarantee you will be satisfied with him. Everyone I know that has ever gone to him always is.
www.stangsuspension.com probably will have the best price on MM stuff. Their service is comparable to MM's as well.
