Hood Pins or No Hood Pins?

My car is a white 1990 Hatch with a saleen kit/wing and a cobra r hood from cervinis... I have always liked the look of hood pins, but others have said to leave it without so I figured a poll is the way to go. - Jay

I like hood pins but not just any hood pins. It has to be very clean looking.

it looks way better without them, plus every car i have seen with them has scratches on the hood from pulling the pins out, i have them because mine needs them and thats the only reason, if you can go without them it looks way cleaner

What hood pins are you talking about?

I will more than likely end up doing pins, but I want to get clean looking ones like you said. So where should I look for them and which ones?

Okay so the majority says yes to hood pins as do I. So i made my decision and the ones I decided on is the Ford Racing Hood Pin Kit that LX546 showed me on SummitRacing.com
Heres a link

It depends on the hood. If it flexes at high speed it's a no brainer. If there just for looks, it's a matter of personal taste.

on a light fiberglass hood that when u use not stock hinges or a lift off its a no brainer but on a stock hood no way but some racers use pins ,dzus fastners ect.. its all in taste but if its a street hood and the hinge and latch work fuck it but its whatever you decide

I like hood pins. Have ever had a hood pop up on you @ 125 MPH on the track. I was luck the safty latch caught or it would have hit my windshield. The stock latch is not rated for those speeds.

I agree with mike heath as long as they arent some import style they are cool on fiberglass hoods...i actually just put some on my notch today...i personally like them with the cables...it makes it look alittle more aggressive in my opinion
