Turbo http://www.turbochargedpower.com/96-04%20Mustang.htm

To handle the power you will have to strengthen your rearend. When ever I say this people reply with KA-CHING KA-CHING!!!! But trust me it is the only way unless you go with a spool.

You have already made a mistake by even considering HP Performance. Get that idea out of your head right now. Their kits, customer service, prices, etc are all the worst you can find. If you order a kit I guarantee you wait at least 6 months for it and it will be poor quality like everything that comes from them. Just because the mustang ad mags promote them doesn't mean they are good to go with.

Now on to the rest. You could go auto, promotion built T45 with either a twin disc clutch or a spec stage 3+. T56 is always nice too which is what I have. You will need a fuel system too. Lethal Performance sells a nice one all set and ready to install. VT is out of business so unless you already have their cams you probably won't be able to get them. Tuning should be done by Pete @ Performance Dyno for the best results w/o multiple trips to the dyno. Run the kit as blow thru MAF. Good quality valvetrain to handle the turbo. Don't skimp on front suspension. Granatelli makes pure garbage just like HP. Most kits offer UPR or an upgrade to Maximum Motorsports. MM is the best out their period for a street car. Cams you could just get custom grinds if needed.

I really hope you don't even consider using HP. I promise you that you will have nothing but headaches on this one. Search the mustang forums and you will hear much of the same.

Ya man if I could go back in time I would never have bought anything from HP. They suck big time. I ordered my kit last November and are still dealing with their bullshit to this day. FUCK HP. And its not just me with one bad experience. I didnt check the forums until after I started having problems with them and then realized I made a huge mistake. Many many people have serious issues with HP and would tell you not to use them. Even after I heard a few things bad about them, I didnt think they would be that big a problem to work with. If I had the money and knew I would get away it, I would fly down to texas and beat every person in their shitty ass company with one of the 4 fucked up headers they sent me. And depending on how much I could fit in my luggage, i would also use many of the other fucked up parts as weapons on them.

Only an absolute moron would ever deal with HP Performance. Their kits are POS quality, they don't fit well and for the same money you can get a high quality kit and 0 hassles elsewhere.

Well I dont consider myself a moron, but I definitely made a mistake when choosing their kit. I didnt do enough research and all of HPs ads and shit make them out to be a decent company with a good rep. And after talking to them a few others, I thought that their kit was what I wanted.
Again, I regret choosing them and I would never recommend them to anyone, but I dont know of any kits or any serious mods in general that are perfect in quality, price, and 0 hassle.
