well you guys all know the car i bought allens car. so far i just bought a 306 shortblock with dss pistons dss girdle and windage tray. tryn to decide what to with for heads probably either highports or victor jrs. i have a system maxx lower with a sheet metel upper that will be going on the new motor.car will make 550+ through the stock fuel lines. ill keep it at like 550 or so hahah. then im gonna do a stronger block 331 and a full fuel system and crank the bitch up hahah. eventually someday it will be a 8.50 street car haha i got alotta work to do

oh,I didn't mean that you can't run 8's or a lot faster in the 1/4 on the street. I am saying that according to weight and suspension he will be looking at around 1000 to 1400 horsepower .Then there's the 10 dollar a gallon gas thing.( I paid 8.00 yesterday for 114 octain.It will be an expensive venture especially on the street. I like old john and hope that he does run that fast if he wants that.
