I had the day off today and decided to visit my best friend of 10 years that I haven't seen or heard from in a few weeks. I called him a couple of times and no answer. At about 11 o'clock I drove over to his house. Before I got to the front door I was stopped by his neighbor. She said he was in the hospital. I went back to my car and called his father. He didn't give me all the details but he said he was found a couple of weeks ago lying in the street with a fractured scull. He has been in ICU and has had 2 surgeries. They said he busted a major artery in his brain and he almost bled out. The police are investigating. They don't know what happened. His dad thinks he came home drunk and hit his head. From being disorientated he wondered out in to the street and collapsed.
Today they moved him to another room. He called his father today from his room. He said that he is not making any sense when he talks. He still has a major concussion. He is making progress but only time will tell.
I haven't heard anything yet. I am going to call his dad tomorrow. I am going to see if I can go see him on Saturday. Thanks guys. I will keep you posted.
Tomorrow will be three weeks sense his accident and he is out of the hospital and now in a rehab facility. He is getting better but still a long road ahead.
I just talked to his dad. He is home and about 95% recovered. He still can't drive because of the meds and he gets headaches do to the surgeries. I tried to call him but he didn't answer his cell or his home phone. I am going to swing by his house tomorrow. Doctors say he made the quickest recovery they have ever seen. Only 18% of people with that kind of head injury live let a lone almost make a full recovery in 5 weeks.

I talked to him for about 2 hrs on the phone yesterday... He is 100% recovered. Still can't drive because of the meds but they don't stop him from working on his car. I am going to see him today. Thank you everyone for your support and prayers.
