on my id numbers on my drivers door i tried to decode it but no luck , ok let me explain when i got the mustang the guy told me it was a gt but it gets better i went to insure it it came up as a mustang gt / cobra gt , the color of the car is reefblue that only the cobras came with in 1993 and other things on this car point to cobra as well . i went to my local svt dealership and they are dumbfounded about i brought them the car to look they them selfs said it is a cobra . a true cobra on the 8th digit should be a d but mine says e . can some one help me out please
IS THE CAR STOCK .....IF IT IS A REAL COBRA WILL HAVE MANY DIFFERENCES BESIDES PAINT WHICH COULD EASILY BE CHANGED
TAKE OFF A FRONT WHEEL AND MEASURE FROM THE FLAT SPOT ON THE ROTOR TO THE FLAT SPOT ON THE MOUNTING SURFACE FOR THE WHEEL (IT IS 3/4 INCH DIFFERENCE FROM GT TO COBRA)
THE REAR END WILL BE DISK BRAKE WITH A VERY SMALL VIBRATION DAMPER
THE REAR SPRINGS WILL HAVE THE YELLOW TAG (COBRA AND 4 CYL IS THE SAME )
THE FRONT SWAY BAR IS BIGGER THAN A 4 CYL BUT SMALLER DIAMETER FROM A GT (I CAN MEASURE MINE IF YOU WANT)
THE ENGINE WILL HAVE 24 POUND INJECTORS UNDER DRIVE PULLEYS AND 95 STYLE VALVE COVERS FROM THE FACTORY
SHOULD HAVE FACTORY ALUMINUM DRIVE SHAFT
DOES IT HAVE FACTORY 93 COBRA WHEELS THE FACTORY 93 COBRA WHEELS WILL NOT FIT ON THE FRONT WITHOUT SPACERS UNLESS IT IS A REAL COBRA ....OR HAS AFTERMARKET SUSPENSION AND BRAKES

well checked all of that springs do have yellow tags on them , as far as the breaks drums in the back , drive shaft is alum. it does have the undrives on them . i am just sick of it i got me a nastey 5.0 i can build it to my likes i thank every one here on this site youare all help full thanks alot i found a new home
