whats needed to swap brakes from a v8 car to 4cyl? my car was orig. 4cyl and im looking into doing the brakes, i kno spindles/calipers and pads/rotors.....anything else?
You can use the 87-93 V-8 spindles, Rotors, Pads, Master cylinder. Or you can use the 87- 87-93 Mustang spindles & Rotors with Lincoln Mark VII 73 mm calipers, pads and a 85 Lincoln Town car Master cylinder with a 1" bore. The Lincoln calipers and pads are a direct bolt on for the mustang spindles. They even use the same bolts. If using the Lincoln calipers use the lincoln soft rubber hoses. If using the Lincoln town car master cylinder you might have to change the lines running from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve. . I used the Lincoln set-up with the 87-93 rotors and spindles in my car. what a world of difference.

For that kind of work, you could swap on some 94-95 or 96+(+8mm) spindles. Then uses 96-98 Cobra or 99+ PBR brakes calipers and really have brakes that work.
