Charging a 16 volt battery

I have dual 16 volt batteries and I am currently running a Powermaster XS Volt Alternator. I think one of my batteries dead and caused my alternator to work over time. I have to check tomorrow but I am sure the adjustable regulator over heated and craped out. I have a 12 Volt alternator that I can put in the car all I need is a step up box. TurboStart had them but sense they got bought out they no long carry alot of stuff. I see step down boxes all over the place but no step up.

Does anyone know where I can find one? I need it ASAP. I don't have $500 to send right now to spend on a new alternator. I am just looking for something to get me by until after Tasca Day.

If I have to I will buy 2 12V batteries and run it that way.

Thanks but the car is apart for the winter. I sent my Powermaster out to be repaired. I will have it back for next year.
